Hi, I’m Shanna!

My path to Michigan wasn’t a straight line, it was more of a roundabout adventure. Before picking up a paintbrush full-time, I served in the US Navy, built a home as a wife and mother of three, and spent years navigating the fast-paced corporate world. But along the way, I realized how important it was to hold onto space for pure, unadulterated joy. I needed a creative reset, and painting became my sanctuary.

Here’s a fun secret: I’ve never actually stepped foot in an art school. My artistic journey began on the internet back in 2013, testing techniques, playing with color, and learning purely out of love for the process. Today, creativity is a family affair; all three of my kids are artists, too!

For me, painting isn’t about strict rules or creating a gallery-perfect museum piece. It’s about unclouding your brain, tuning out the daily noise, and letting yourself be filled with creative inspiration.

When you join me for a paint party, my goal is simple: I want you to feel capable, relaxed, and genuinely proud of what you create. There is nothing better than watching someone look at their finished canvas and think, “I actually made this!” and then immediately wanting to post it on Instagram to show it off.
